Day-by-day detailed 12-Day Kenya and Uganda Safari itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve to start your combined Uganda – Kenya 12-day safari tour. Drive through the beautiful countryside side, witness the stunning landscapes and natural beauty of Kenya. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch and proceed to your booked accommodation facility in Masai Mara.
After lunch at the lodge in Masai Mara, embark on an evening game drive in the Mara plains to spot different wildlife. Visit top wildlife-watching hotspots within Masai Mara for opportunities to spot top African species like lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species among others. Latter drive back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: All-day Game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve
Today you will spend your whole day exploring the iconic Masa Mara National Reserve. You will embark on a game drive in the morning just after breakfast at your lodge. While on your adventure, keep your eyes out for the great African predators and their cabs during your game drive. You will visit the Mara plains which are home to enormous herds of mammal grazers that also attract the elusive cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and leopards.
Enjoy witnessing the world’s natural spectacle ‘‘Wildebeest Migration’’ in Masai Mara National Reserve during your game drive adventure. You will have a lunch break to enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the Reserve. After lunch, proceed with your adventure. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, depart your lodge in Masai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will have your next adventure. You will arrive in Nakuru in time for lunch and proceed to your booked lodge. Lunch will be served at your lodge.
After lunch, embark on an evening game drive at 4 pm through the stunning Lake Nakuru National Park. This place is popular for its millions of lesser flamingos that flock to the alkaline Lake Nakuru shores. Besides the flamingos, Lake Nakuru National Park is also home to a number of wildlife species including lions, leopards, buffalos, hyenas, and cheetahs among others that you will spot during your game drive in the park. Later return to the lodge after your short evening tour around lake Nakuru.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park
Today you will embark on an adventure to the famous Amboseli National Park. After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru National Park and drive to Amboseli National Park, a journey that takes about 7 hours drive. Along the way you will enjoy the scenic beauty of Kenya, witnessing its stunning landscape and natural beauty. You will arrive in Amboseli National Park and drive to your booked safari lodge.
After lunch, you will embark on an evening game drive in Amboseli National Park. You will witness a diverse range of wildlife species. You will enjoy spotting from the elusive predators to the giant tuskers of Amboseli National Park. After your evening adventure in Amboseli, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Amboseli to Nairobi Airport for Onwards Flight to Entebbe
This day marks the end of your stay in Kenya. From your safari lodge in Amboseli National Park, your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the airstrip to catch your flight to Nairobi. From Nairobi, you will transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where you will catch another flight to Uganda.
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by your Ugandan Driver guide. You will then transfer to the hotel where you will spend your evening.

Day 6: Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up at your hotel and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, embark on a transfer to Kibale National Park. Kibale forest is known for its diverse primate species (13 different species), including the chimpanzees. This journey will take approximately 7 to 8 hours.
Arrive at Kibale National Park and drive to your booked safari accommodation for relaxation and dinner.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale National Park
Start the day with a sumptuous breakfast, then head out to the park headquarters. At the headquarters, you will join other visitors for a briefing session before indulging in the forest to search for the chimpanzees.
After the briefing, follow your guide into the forest and embark on a quest to see chimpanzees. You will also encounter various other top wildlife species that call this forest home. After allocation, the chimps, enjoy viewing them as they go about their day for the allocated time. After the trek, return to the starting point. You will drive back to the lodge for a refreshing meal and a short rest.
Later in the afternoon, you will explore the Bigodi wetland sanctuary, enjoy a community walk for a cultural immersion while here.

Day 8: Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Today After Breakfast, embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy your next adventure. This National Park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems and unique tree-climbing lions. Arrive and proceed to your booked safari lodge.
Lunch will be served at your lodge. After lunch, you will visit the scenic crater lakes region for amazing views.

Day 9: Morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains
Today you will explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, start your day with an early morning breakfast at your lodge. Following breakfast, embark on a game drive around the Kasenyi area of this park to witness different wildlife species including the tree-climbing lions and other top predators. After your morning adventure, you will return to the lodge for a refreshing meal and a short rest.
After lunch, you will be taken for a thrilling boat ride along the Kazinga Channel for opportunities to spot both birdlife and wildlife species. The Kazinga Channel is a hot spot for large schools of hippos and water birds. After your adventure here, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Game drive at Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, check out and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive will take about 2–3 hours, through a scenic countryside teeming with natural beauty and stunning landscapes.
Arrive at Bwindi and drive to your booked accommodation facility. Check in and relax at your lodge. An optional community tour can be arranged in the afternoon while at Bwindi on extra costs.

Day 11: Gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Forest
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, head to the visitors center. Join groups of other trekkers for a briefing session and later gorilla trekking in the Impenetrable forest. When the briefing session is done, you will follow the lead of your ranger guide and indulge deep in the tropical jungles to search for mountain gorillas.
Although trekking to see gorillas in Bwindi can be challenging, the experience is worth every penny and effort. After a long trek, you will finally locate these primates in the jungle. A maximum of 60 minutes will be allocated for observing the gorillas and taking photographs. After one hour elapses, start your trek back to the starting point. You will be awarded with a certificate of participation at the visitors center by the park officials. Later return to your lodge for a refreshing meal and relaxation.

Day 12: Return to Entebbe
After breakfast, depart your lodge in Bwindi and start your journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy the long road trip as you admire Uganda’s Beauty once more before you board your flight back home. Arrive in the late evening and drop off at your preferred drop-off point.
